About Tunkhannock Township

Tunkhannock Township is located in the southwestern part of Monroe County. It is 38.9 square miles, with a population of 6,789 as of the 2010 census. The Nature Conservancy lists it at one of the top 40 "Last Great Places," and it is also the home of Pocono International Raceway.
