Call to Order
Chairman Maureen Sterner called to order the End of Year Meeting of the Tunkhannock Township Board of Supervisors at 9:00 am on December 30, 2009 in the Municipal Building, Long Pond Road. Present were Supervisors Jim Davenport and Fran DePiano, and area residents.
Minutes
No minutes were presented at this meeting since it is the end of the year meeting.
Public Comments
There were no comments.
Bill List
The bill list for the general account for $15,536.18, for the liquid fuels account for $2,144.59, and the time sensitive bills for $5,012.68 (a total of $22,693.45) was presented by Maureen Sterner. A motion by Supervisor Davenport to approve the bills presented for $22,693.45 to be paid, seconded by Supervisor DePiano. There being no comments or questions the motion passed unanimously.
Tax Levy Resolution
Maureen Sterner advised that the Tax Levy Resolution wasn’t adopted at the last meeting so that would need to be done today. Tax Levy Resolution 2009-180 subjects taxation for the fiscal year 2010 as 10.50 mills for General, 1.0 mills for Fire Protection, and .75 mills for Clymer Library, a total of 12.25 mills. The cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation would be 1.05 cents for General, .10 cents for Fire Protection, and .075 cents for Clymer Library, a total of 1.225 cents. Supervisor Davenport made a motion to approve the Tax Levy Resolution 2009-180, seconded by Supervisor DePiano. There being no comments or questions the motion passed unanimously.
Supervisor Comments
Jim Davenport wanted to wish the supervisors-elect success; Fran DePiano concurred.
Committee Comments
Mike Gillen advised that the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Reorganization meeting is January 12, 2010, at Headquarters. Jim Davenport commented that Jimmy, from Jimmy’s Towing, feels that he’s not getting his fair share and that he’ll be at the meeting.

am, on a motion by Supervisor Davenport, seconded by Supervisor DePiano and
carried unanimously.
